President Victor Yushchenko wrote a letter to Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko.In his letter President requested the Government to urgently conduct a meeting of EURO 2012, according to the President`s press-office.
Preparation Committee to investigate implementation of UEFA second stage plan of preparation to the event.
According to President Yushchenko the urgency of conducting such a meeting is explained by the coming UEFA Strategic Council meeting, scheduled on September 18, at which the Government is to present a report on implementation of the above mentioned plan. Based on that particular report the UEFA will make a decision on further participation of Ukraine in the project.
President also reminded that the plan had provided recommendations to the Government on preparation of airports as well as sports, hotel and transport infrastructure to the events of EURO 2012 championship.
