Andriy Rusol`s header 10 minutes from time secured Ukraine a 3-2 victory over Georgia in their Euro 2008 Group B qualifier on Wednesday, according to SoccerNation.
The World Cup finalists had trailed 2-1 after going ahead in the 31st minute through Andriy Shevchenko, the striker deftly heading into the top corner from Andriy Gusin`s pass.
Georgia levelled six minutes later when Shota Arveladze beat keeper Olexander Shovkovsky with a strike from outside the area.
With Ukraine`s Gusin sidelined in the second half by injury, the visitors went ahead briefly when Georgi Demetradze sent a curling free kick between a wall of defenders and past Shovkovsky on the hour.
The lead proved shortlived, with Ruslan Rotan exploiting defensive errors to put the ball past Georgian keeper Grigol Chanturia only a minute later.
The hosts poured forward in search of a winner and got it when Rosul converted following a corner.
