Manchester United have beaten Arsenal 3-1 at The Emirates Stadium to reach the Champions League final, Sky News reported.

The victory secured a 4-1 aggregate win for United who killed off their Premier League rivals with two goals in the first 11 minutes.

United opened the scoring after eight minutes, Arsenal`s 19 year-old defender Kieran Gibbs slipped over, allowing Korean midfielder Park Ji-sung to score.

Goalkeeper Manuel Almunia won`t be happy with the second. He misjudged the flight of a 41-metre Cristiano Ronaldo free kick three minutes later which doubled United`s lead.

United`s trip to Rome was sealed when Ronaldo scored a second. A classic piece of counter attacking football saw them break the whole length of the pitch.

The win was tarnished after the dismissal of midfielder Darren Fletcher. The red card will keep him out of the final in Rome on May 27. He was harshly sent off for a tackle of Cesc Fabregas. Robin van Persie`s penalty gave Arsenal a late consolation making it 3-1.
