New Dynamo Kyiv coach Valery Gazzaev hopes to take Andriy Shevchenko back to the Ukrainian champions, The Daily Mail reported.

The Chelsea striker is unwanted at Stamford Bridge and the club are considering paying up ?7million to cancel his contract.

AC Milan are unlikely to sign him after he spent most of last season on the bench during a season-long loan at the San Siro

There are suggestions the 32-year-old is open to a return to his first club, where he won five league titles between 1994 and 1999, but that his pay demands are likely to be an obstacle.

Roma see him as a cheap replacement should Mirko Vucinic leave for Manchester United, but Gazzaev boss is undeterred.

The Russian said: `In life, nothing is impossible.  Andriy is a great footballer and a wonderful person. I would be very fortunate to have him in my attack.

`He belongs to Chelsea, but I am always ready to work with him.`
