WBO and IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko and ex-titleholder Samuel Peter will face off on September 11 in Frankfurt, Germany, ESPN.com said on Thursday, according to RIA Novosti.

Peter`s team is "coming into the [Las Vegas] office to sign [on Thursday]. It was a relatively easy negotiation." Bob Arum, Peter`s promoter, said.

Klitschko`s manager Bernd Boente said an agreement had not been signed yet, but hoped he could send out a press release later on Thursday.

A news conference to announce the bout is slated for Monday, Boente said.

Klitschko was set to defend his IBF title against challenger Alexander Povetkin from Russia, but the fight was called off due to a disagreement over terms.

Klitschko beat Peter in a 2005 title elimination bout for the IBF and IBO world titles in the United States.
