Zenit St. Petersburg could come up against Ukraine’s Dynamo Kiev in the play-off round for the 2010/11 Champions League group stages, according to RIA Novosti.

Zenit overcame the final qualifying hurdle after a 1-0 victory over Romania’s Unirea Urziceni on Wednesday evening and find themselves seeded in the non-champions section of Friday’s draw.

Their status as seeds will see the runaway Russian Premier League leaders avoid Spain’s Sevilla, England’s Tottenham Hotspur, Germany’s Werder Bremen, and Holland’s Ajax as they attempt to make the group stages of Europe’s elite club competition for only the second time.

But, aside from Dynamo, they could face Portugal’s’ Braga, Italy’s Sampodoria, France’s Auxerre, and Switzerland’s Young Boys.
