Ramires could consider himself lucky not to be shown a second yellow for what looked like a stamp on Artem Fedetskiy with seven minutes of the first half remaining.

A long spell of pressure for the Selecao, lasting a good five minutes deep in the Ukraine half, was almost undone by a quick counter down the left, but the final ball found Milevsky offside in the middle of the box.
A second goal for Brazil just after the hour mark however broke the will of Ukraine. A pin-point low cross from the right by Carlos Eduardo was cleverly controlled by Pato, who turned and blasted his shot through Dikan.
Both teams continued in search of goals as changes intervened with the flow of the game. Chances were restricted to set-pieces, Aliev again bending an effort just wide of the post for Ukraine and Dani Alves for Brazil unable to get the ball to drop quickly enough.
Nilmar almost capped the game with a goal on the break in stoppage time. If the Villarreal man hadn`t been denied by Dikan in the Ukraine goal it would have been the exact same three scorers in two consecutive games, however it remained 2-0 and Brazil continued their winning streak.
