IBF, WBO and IBO World Heavyweight Champion Wladimir Klitschko will defend his titles against Dereck Chisora from the UK on December 11 at SAP ARENA Mannheim, Germany, according to the official homepage of Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko.

26-year-old Dereck „Del Boy“ Chisora is the current British and Commonwealth Heavyweight Champion.

In 2007, he started his professional career and has won all his 14 fights since then, 9 by KO. In his last fight, he knocked out Sam Sexton in the ninth round and captured the Commonwealth Heavyweight title. In March, he scored a second-round knockout of Danny Williams, who owns a knockout win against Mike Tyson.

“I knew that my victory over Sam Sexton would open up a lot of opportunities, but this chance is unbelievable," Chisora says. "Everybody thinks my chances against Klitschko are as good as a snowball`s chance in hell, but I don`t care. I have fought my whole life and I am ready for a war. This will be my night and by the end of this year I will be the Heavyweight Champion of the World.”

This fight will be Wladimir Klitschko’s 19th World Championship title fight. The professional record of the 1996 Olympic Gold medalist is 55 wins (49 KOs) with only 3 losses.

In his last three title defenses Klitschko (34) fought in the sold-out German soccer arenas of Schalke, Düsseldorf and Frankfurt where he scored knockouts against Chagaev, Chambers and Peter. Now Klitschko returns to the SAP ARENA in Mannheim for the fourth time.

Wladimir Klitschko: "I know that Dereck Chisora is a very dangerous opponent. He`s young, he`s fast and he`s a very hard puncher. My coach, Emanuel Steward, has warned me about Chisora and reminded me about the great Muhammad Ali, who lost his championship in 1978 to Leon Spinks in his eighth professional fight. I definitely will not underestimate Chisora and will prepare myself as intensely as I always do and try to give Chisora no chance. The atmosphere for all of my fights in Mannheim has been great and I will always remember the SAP Arena where I won my second world championship against Chris Byrd. That is one of the highlights of my career.”

Next Saturday, October 16, Chisora will be in the o2 World arena in Hamburg for the fight between Wladimir’s brother and WBC Heavyweight Champion Vitali Klitschko against former WBO titlist Shannon Briggs.

Tickets for the fight Klitschko vs. Chisora are available at www.saparena.de or via the hotline +49-621-18190-333. Prices start at 57 Euro.

In Germany, the fight will be shown live and exclusively on RTL. SKY will broadcast the bout live on Pay-Per-View.
