Denys Harmash scored in the third minute of stoppage time as Dynamo Kyiv earned an important 1-0 win over Beşiktaş JK (Istanbul, Turkey) in Europa League group E encounter at the Valeriy Lobanovskyy stadium on Thursday night, according to The victory lifts Yuriy Semin`s men from third place to second in Europa League Group E, two points behind Stoke City.

The White-Blues came into the match with just two points from their first two group stage matches and desperately needed to win their home fixture against Besiktas and take all three points. Yuriy Semin fielded a full-strength side. He made only one change from the team that had beaten Vorskla Poltava 2-1 at the weekend, with Denys Harmash replacing Oleksandr Aliyev in the central midfield.

Dynamo looked dominant throughout the game, creating a number of opportunities. The first half saw them squander chance after chance with Brown Ideye, Artem Milevskyy, Oleh Husyev, Andriy Shevchenko and Andriy Yarmolenko all failing to capitalise on the visiting side’s mistakes. After another string of unfruitful attacks in the second half, the match looked destined to finish in stalemate. But deep into added time, and with what turned out to be almost the last kick of the game, Denys Harmash turned Oleh Husyev`s corner past Cenk Gönen to set up a happy ending in front of Dynamo supporters.

The White-Blues now have five points from three games ahead of their away encounters with main group opponents Beşiktaş and Stoke City. Let’s wish our team the very best of luck in the upcoming matches.
