President congratulates national football team

Victor Yushchenko has congratulated the national football team on winning yesterday’s World Cup match with Saudi Arabia, according to the President’s press-office.

During his telephone conversation with head coach Oleh Blokhin, the President first wanted to know how our players felt and what mood they had and then thanked the team for the wonderful game. He wished them to be in good physical shape and mobilized for their next match with the team of Tunisia, remember all the mistakes they made when playing with Spain and demonstrate the whole world and Ukraine their team spirit and winning tactics.

Ukraine believes in its footballers, supports them and is proud to see them participate in the championship, he said.
