As a result of active defense measures by Ukraine's Joint Forces in Donbas, Russian-backed militants suffered casualties in the past 24 hours.

Intelligence data claim, two militants were killed in action and another three – wounded.

The overall situation in the zone of hostilities remained complicated as Russian-backed militants used banned weapons 21 times near the settlements of Svitlodarsk, Luhanske, Troyitske, Prychepilivka, Novotoshkivske, Zaitseve, Krymske, Kamenka, and Talakivka.

Another three attacks came overnight Friday, the Joint Forces Operation Staff reported.

As of 7:00 Kyiv time on May 5, the Ukrainian side has suffered no losses.

As reported by UNIAN, the occupation forces command intensified anti-Ukrainian propaganda across Donbas. In particular, militants are staging spontaneous rallies and plotting sabotage efforts to create additional obstacles for the Armed Forces in Ukraine.
