The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) to Ukraine has recorded 339 explosions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, within one day.

"In Donetsk region, the SMM recorded more ceasefire violations, including 265 explosions, compared with the previous reporting period (about 240 explosions)," the OSCE SMM said in an update covering the period between 19:30 on June 7 and 19:30 on June 8.

In Donetsk region, the SMM heard explosions near the town of Svitlodarsk (government-controlled, 57km north-east of Donetsk), the Donetsk Filtration Station (15km north of Donetsk), the village of Maiorsk (government-controlled, 45km north-east of Donetsk), the Oktiabr mine (non-government-controlled, 9km north-west of Donetsk city centre), the town of Horlivka (non-government-controlled, 39km north-east of Donetsk), the village of Kamianka (government-controlled, 20km north of Donetsk), the village of Kruta Balka (non-government-controlled, 16km north of Donetsk), the town of Yasynuvata (non-government-controlled, 16km north-east of Donetsk) and the village of Oleksandrivka (non-government-controlled, 20km south-west of Donetsk).

"In Luhansk region, the SMM recorded more ceasefire violations, including 74 explosions, compared with the previous reporting period (about 45 explosions)," the update said.

In Luhansk region, the SMM heard explosions near the town of Sievierodonetsk (government-controlled, 75km north-west of Luhansk), the village of Kadiivka (formerly Stakhanov, non-government-controlled, 50km west of Luhansk) and the town of Zolote (government-controlled, 60km west of Luhansk).
