Russia's hybrid military forces mounted 30 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas in the past 24 hours, with one Ukrainian soldier reported as killed in action (KIA) and another two as wounded in action (WIA).

"According to intelligence reports, three occupiers were killed and another five wounded," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said in an update on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on June 27, 2018.

The enemy opened fire in all three sectors. In the Luhansk sector, the situation was most tense near the village of Krymske, where the aggressor fired from 120mm and 82mm mortars, infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers and small arms at the Ukrainian positions. The defenders of the village of Novotoshkivske came under fire from 122mm artillery systems. In addition, enemy activity was recorded near the villages of Zaitseve, Pivdenne, Troyitske, Yekaterynivka, Maiorsk and Orikhove.

In the Donetsk sector, shellings were recorded near the towns of Maryinka and Avdiyivka, and the villages of Novoselivka Druha and Pisky.

In the Mariupol sector, the Russian-backed mercenaries used grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns and small arms. The enemy shelled the Ukrainian positions near the villages of Lebedynske, Vodiane, Hnutove, Pyshchevyk, Shyrokyne and Starohnativka.

"Since day-start, militants of the Russian occupation forces have opened fire five times on our defenders of Maryinka, and the villages of Novomykhailivka, Lebedynske, Vodiane and Shyrokyne," the press center said.
