Three Ukrainian soldiers were killed and another three were wounded in action in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, in the past day, June 27.

In total, Russia's hybrid military forces mounted 32 targeted attacks on Ukrainian Joint Forces Operation (JFO) units over that period, heavy weapons were used in four of the incidents, the press service of the JFO Headquarters said in a morning update on Facebook on June 28.

The situation escalated in the evening when the Russian occupation forces started actively using grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms. In some areas, the enemy opened fire from cannons of infantry fighting vehicles and the weapons that are not proscribed under the Minsk peace deal.

The highest number of enemy attacks was reported in the Mariupol sector, where the Russian-controlled troops resorted to 122mm artillery systems, 120mm mortars, grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns and small arms. The enemy also launched anti-tank guided missiles to shell Ukrainian positions. The villages of Lebedynske, Vodiane, Hnutove, Talakivka, Starohnativka, Pavlopil, Bohdanivka, and Shyrokyne were hot spots in the sector.

Attacks with the use of mortars and small arms were reported near the villages of Krymske and Stanytsia Luhanska in the Luhansk sector.

Grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns and small arms were used in the Donetsk sector. The enemy also opened fire from cannons of infantry fighting vehicles. Hot spots in the sector were the towns of Maryinka, Avdiyivka, and the villages of Pivdenne, Opytne and Novomykhailivka.

Seven violations of the ceasefire in Donbas by the enemy have been registered since Thursday midnight.

Ten members of the Russian occupation forces were killed and seven were wounded, according to Ukrainian intelligence reports.
