Russia's hybrid military forces mounted 34 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas in the past 24 hours, with two Ukrainian soldiers reported as wounded in action (WIA).

"The units of the Joint Forces conducted an active defense and gave an adequate rebuff to the enemy. According to intelligence reports, three militants of the Russian occupation forces were killed and another two wounded," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said in an update on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on June 30, 2018.

In the Luhansk sector, the enemy opened fire from a tank at the defenders of the village of Novotoshkivske. In addition, the Ukrainian positions near the village of Krymske came under fire from grenade launchers and heavy machine guns.

In the evening, the mercenaries fired from grenade launchers, infantry fighting vehicles and heavy machine at the defenders of the town of Svitlodarsk, and the villages of Novozvanivka and Travneve.

The situation was most tense in the Horlivka sector during the day. The fighting took place near the village of Luhanske, where the enemy used grenade launchers, small arms and 82mm mortars. In this direction, the occupiers also fired tripod-mounted man-portable antitank guns and heavy machine guns at the Ukrainian positions near the village of Novhorodske.

In the Donetsk sector, the Russian occupation forces fired grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms at the Ukrainian positions near the towns of Maryinka and Avdiyivka, and the villages of Pisky, Verkhniotoretske and Novomykhailivka. Furthermore, a sniper was active near the village of Nevelske.

In the Mariupol sector, the enemy continued to use proscribed weapons. The defenders of the villages of Berdianske and Hnutove came under 120mm mortar fire. Moreover, positions of the Joint Forces near the villages of Vodiane, Lebedynske, Pavlopil and Shyrokyne came under enemy fire.

"Since day-start, militants of the Russian occupation forces have opened fire on our positions twice, using rifle-attached grenade launchers and heavy machine guns near Maryinka and Hnutove," the press center said.
