Donbas update: Ukraine reports 3 WIAs amid 24 enemy attacks
Russia's hybrid military forces mounted 24 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas in the past 24 hours, with three Ukrainian soldiers reported as wounded in action (WIA).
"According to intelligence reports, two occupiers were killed and three others wounded," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said in an update on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on July 13, 2018.
The situation remained calm in the Luhansk and Horlivka sectors. In the Popasna and Svitlodarsk sectors, the enemy fired heavy machine guns and small arms at the defenders of the villages of Troyitske and Novoluhanske.
In the Donetsk sector, the enemy employed heavy machine guns and small arms eight times against the Ukrainian positions near the towns of Maryinka and Avdiyivka, and the villages of Berezove and Opytne.
The situation again was most tense in the Mariupol sector. Russian mercenaries attacked the Ukrainian defenders 14 times, using grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms near the villages of Vodiane, Pavlopil, Talakivka, Lebedynske and Pyshchevyk. Along with this, for the first time in six days the enemy used proscribed 82mm mortars and launched 14 mines at the defenders of Pavlopil and Vodiane.
Since day-start, militants of the Russian occupation forces violated the ceasefire twice in the Donetsk and Mariupol sectors. The Ukrainian positions near Maryinka and Talakivka came under fire from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.
