Russia's hybrid military forces mounted 29 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas in the past 24 hours, with one Ukrainian soldier reported as wounded in action (WIA).
"According to intelligence reports, one enemy troop was killed and another one was wounded," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said in an update on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on July 16, 2018.

It is reported the Russian occupation forces were active along the entire contact line and shelled the defenders of the towns of Avdiyivka and Svitlodarsk, and the villages of Krymske, Novoluhanske, Zaitseve, Maiorsk, Pisky, Taramchuk, Vodiane, Pyshchevyk, Shyrokyne and Talakivka. The defenders of Hnutove came under 82mm mortar fire. By its active actions, the enemy tried to force the Ukrainian troops to fire back.
Since Monday midnight, members of the Russian-led forces have attacked the Ukrainian positions five times near Hnutove and Vodiane, and the towns of Svitlodarsk and Maryinka.
