Russia's hybrid military forces mounted 30 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas in the past 24 hours, with three Ukrainian soldiers reported as wounded in action (WIA).

"According to intelligence reports, one occupier was killed and another four were wounded," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said in an update on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on August 7, 2018.

The Russian occupation forces opened aimed fire mainly from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms to attack the defenders of the towns of Maryinka, Avdiyivka and Krasnohorivka, and the villages of Krymske, Luhanske, Novoluhanske, Pivdenne, Novhorodske, Chermalyk, Hnutove, Lebedynske, Pavlopil, Vodiane, and Shyrokyne. In certain areas, the enemy engaged Ukrainian troops from infantry fighting vehicles.

Along with this, the enemy shelled the Ukrainian positions near Novoluhanske and Lebedynske, using 82mm mortars. The defenders of Avdiyivka came under fire from 120mm and 82mm mortars. In addition, the enemy used a 120mm mortar to attack the Ukrainian positions near Hnutove.

"Since Tuesday midnight, Russian-led forces have mounted seven attacks on the Ukrainian positions near the villages of Krymske, Malynove, Novozvanivka, Troyitske, Lebedynske, and Shyrokyne. No heavy weapons were used," the report says.
