Russian-led forces mounted 36 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in the past day, using heavy weapons in five instances.

"No casualties among the Ukrainian troops have been reported over the past day. According to intelligence reports, three occupiers were killed and another nine were wounded," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said in an update on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on August 8, 2018.

Russian occupation forces opened aimed fire mainly from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms to attack the defenders of the towns Svitlodarsk, Maryinka and Krasnohorivka, and the villages of Stanytsia Luhanska, Krymske, Malynove, Novozvanivka, Troyitske, Luhanske, Novoluhanske, Opytne, Hnutove, Lebedynske, Pavlopil, Vodiane and Shyrokyne.

Along with this, the enemy shelled the Ukrainian positions near Krymske, Novoluhanske, Lebedynske and Shyrokyne, using 82mm mortars.

"Since Wednesday midnight, Russian-led forces have mounted two attacks on the Ukrainian positions near Krymske and Shyrokyne. No heavy weapons were used," the report says.
