Over the past day, August 12, the enemy opened fire 57 times on the positions of the Ukrainian military in Donbas, including 12 times from heavy weapons.

Russian occupation troops opened aimed fire from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, and small arms, and in separate directions - from the arms installed on infantry fighting vehicles, the press center of the Joint Forces Operation reported on Facebook.

"As a result of the fighting, two servicemen of the Joint Forces were wounded," the report said.

From midnight, militants of the Russian occupation forces opened fire eight times on the positions of the JFO troops. One serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was wounded.

"According to intelligence reports, one militant was killed and another six were injured," the JFO Staff added.

As UNIAN reported earlier, in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the OSCE observers spotted dozens of tanks and artillery systems, deployed outside the designated withdrawal areas, as well as air defense systems and electronic warfare.
