Russia's hybrid military forces mounted 41 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas in the past 24 hours, with two Ukrainian soldiers reported as wounded in action (WIA).

"According to intelligence reports, two occupiers were killed and another five were wounded," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said in an update on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on August 14, 2018.

The shelling took place near the town of Avdiyivka, and the villages of Krymske, Novotoshkivske, Troyitske, Novozvanivka, Novoluhanske, Pivdenne, Maiorsk, Zalizne, Sieverne, Opytne, Novotroyitske, Bohdanivka, Hnutove, Lebedynske, Pavlopil, Vodiane, and Shyrokyne. Along with this, the enemy fired 122mm artillery systems to attack the defenders of Novotoshkivske, 120mm mortars were used to shell Ukrainian positions near Zalizne, Sieverne and Bohdanivka. The positions near Novozvanivka, Troyitske, Avdiyivka and Vodiane came under 82mm mortar fire.

It is reported the enemy used grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms during the shelling. In certain areas, the invaders used infantry fighting vehicles and anti-tank missile systems. They also resorted to 122mm artillery systems and mortars.

"Since Tuesday midnight, Russian-led forces have mounted two attacks on the Ukrainian positions near the villages of Pavlopil and Shyrokyne," the report says.
