Spokesman for the Defense Ministry, Dmytro Hutsuliak, says Russian-led forces have mounted 11 attacks on the Ukrainian positions in Donbas since midnight.

"Ukrainian defenders have already recorded 11 attacks by the Russian occupation troops since midnight. The enemy did not use heavy weapons, resorting to intense provocative shellings from grenade launchers and small arms. There have been no casualties among the Ukrainian troops," he said at a briefing on Friday, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

According to Hutsuliak, the enemy opened aimed fire on the units of the Joint Forces in the town of Maryinka, and the villages of Novoluhanske, Novozvanivka, Pavlopil, and Shyrokyne. The defenders of the villages of Vodiane and Lebedynske came under fire three times.
