Russia's hybrid military forces mounted 27 attacks on the Ukrainian Joint Forces in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, on Monday, September 24, using proscribed weapons in two instances.

"The enemy opened aimed fire, using 120mm and 82mm mortars, anti-tank missile systems, grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms. The Russian occupation forces attacked the positions of the Joint Forces near the towns of Zolote, Svitlodarsk, Krasnohorivka, and Maryinka, as well as near the villages of Krymske, Zaitseve, Pivdenne, Pisky, Novotroyitske, Hnutove, Vodiane, Lebedynske, and Shyrokyne," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said in an update on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on September 25, 2018.

Using 82mm mortars, the enemy troops shelled the Joint Forces' positions near the village of Hnutove in the Mariupol sector. They also resorted to 120mm mortars near the village of Pivdenne outside the town of Horlivka.

"Our troops' position near Krymske in the Luhansk sector came under fire opened from an anti-tank missile system. What is more, the Russian occupation forces resorted to cannons of infantry fighting vehicles to attack the defenders of Vodiane," the press center said.

No Ukrainian army casualties were reported during hostilities in the past day, it added.

According to Ukrainian intelligence reports, one enemy troop was killed and another four were wounded in Donbas in the past day.

Since Tuesday midnight, the Russian-led forces have already mounted two attacks on Ukrainian positions near the villages of Vodiane and Shyrokyne in the Mariupol sector. They used large-caliber machine guns and small arms.
