The number of wounded Ukrainian soldiers in Donbas in the past day increased to five people overnight.

"Five members of the Joint Forces have been wounded amid hostilities," the press service of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) Headquarters said on Facebook in its morning update on Wednesday, September 26.

In its previous Tuesday evening update, the JFO HQ reported about three wounded servicemen.

According to Ukrainian intelligence reports, two members of the Russian occupation forces were eliminated and another six were wounded in the past 24 hours.

In total, Russian-led forces mounted 24 attacks on the Ukrainian army in the past 24 hours.

The enemy attacked Ukrainian positions near the town of Zolote and the villages of Stanytsia Luhanska, Krymske, Katerynivka, Novoluhanske, Zaitseve, Pisky, Taramchuk, Hnutove, Vodiane, Lebedysnke, and Shyrokyne.

Russian-led forces opened aimed fire, using grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. In particular, JFO positions near Hnutove came under 82mm mortar fire.

Since Wednesday midnight, the enemy has shelled Ukrainian positions near Krymske, using grenade launchers and small arms.

"Heavy weapons have not been used. There have been no personnel casualties [since the beginning of the day]," the JFO HQ said.
