Russia's hybrid military forces mounted 20 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas in the past 24 hours, with three Ukrainian soldiers reported as wounded in action (WIA).

"Three Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in the past day. According to intelligence reports, three occupiers were killed and another three were wounded," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said in an update published on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on October 5, 2018.

Russian occupation forces opened aimed fire from 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns, and small arms, attacking the defenders of Krasnohorivka and Maryinka, the villages of Krymske, Orikhove, Luhanske, Travneve, Shumy, Pivdenne, Pavlopil, Hnutove, Vodiane, Lebedynske, and Shyrokyne.

In addition, the enemy fired 120mm mortars twice at the Ukrainian positions near Luhanske, while the defenders of Krymske, Orikhove, and Travneve came under fire from 82mm mortars. One Ukrainian soldier was wounded.

"Since Friday midnight, Russian-led forces have mounted four attacks on the Ukrainian positions near Krymske, Orikhove, Vilniy, Vodiane and Hnutove, using grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, and small arms. No heavy weapons were used. One Ukrainian soldier was wounded," reads the report.
