Russia's hybrid military forces mounted 26 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas in the past 24 hours, with one Ukrainian soldiers reported as wounded in action (WIA).

"The enemy opened aimed fire from 100mm artillery systems, 120mm and 82mm mortars, cannons of infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said in an update published on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on October 13, 2018.

As reported, the invaders used the weapons prohibited by the Minsk accords four times.

The Russian occupation forces shelled Ukrainian positions near the towns of Svitlodarsk, Krasnohorivka, and Maryinka, as well as the villages of Zolote-4, Novo-Oleksandrivka, Novozvanivka, Troyitske, Novoluhanske, Taramchuk, Novotroyitske, Starohnanivka, Chermalyk, Pavlopil, Hnutove, Vodiane, and Lebedynske.

"The invaders resorted to 120mm mortars, 100mm artillery systems, and cannons of infantry fighting vehicles to shell our troops' strongholds near Novoluhanske, while the defenders of Troyitske and Svitlodarsk came under fire from 82mm mortars," the report said.

"Since Saturday midnight, Russian-led forces have mounted two attacks on the Joint Forces positions near the village of Shyrokyne in the Mariupol sector, using heavy machine guns and small arms. No heavy weapons have been used. There have been no casualties among the Ukrainian troops," it said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Joint Forces of Ukraine had retaken an uninhabited village in the "gray zone" near the town of Volnovakha, Donetsk region, where they found new evidence of the Russian military presence.
