Russia's hybrid military forces mounted 21 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas in the past 24 hours, with two Ukrainian soldiers reported as wounded in action (WIA).

"Two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in the past day. According to intelligence reports, three occupiers were killed and another two were wounded," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation said in an update published on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on October 31, 2018.

Russian occupation forces opened aimed fire from cannons of infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms to attack the defenders of the towns of Avdiyivka, Maryinka, and Krasnohorivka. The villages of Luhanske, Verkhniotoretske, Pisky, Opytne, Pavlopil, Hnutove, Lomakyne, Vodiane, and Lebedynske were also under attack.

The enemy also resorted to 82mm mortars to shell the Ukrainian positions near Avdiyivka, Pisky, Lomakyne and Luhanske, while the Ukrainian fortified positions near Luhanske were also attacked with the use of 120mm mortars.

"Since Wednesday midnight, Russian-led forces have mounted two attacks on the Ukrainian positions near Lebedynske, using heavy machine guns and small arms. No casualties among Ukrainian troops have been reported from day-start," reads the report.
