Russia's hybrid military forces mounted 24 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas in the past 24 hours, with two Ukrainian soldiers reported as wounded in action (WIA).

"Two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in the past day. According to intelligence reports, four occupiers were wounded," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation said in an update published on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on November 1, 2018.

Russian occupation forces opened aimed fire from grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns, mortars and small arms.

"In the Luhansk sector, the enemy shelled the Ukrainian fortified positions near the village of Nyzhnie at night, using 122mm artillery systems, and at about the same time, the invaders opened fire from 82mm and 120mm mortars near the village of Krymske. Moreover, the occupiers used mortars twice near the town of Zolote," the report says.

The shelling was also recorded near town of Avdiyivka, and the villages of Novoselivka Druha, Pisky, Novotroyitske, Berezove, Novomykhailivka, Starohnativka, Pavlopil, Vodiane, Hnutove, Lebedynske, and Shyrokyne. No heavy weapons were used in these instances.

"Since Thursday midnight, Russian-led forces have mounted one attack on the Ukrainian positions near Avdiyivka, using automatic grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. No casualties among Ukrainian troops have been reported from day-start," reads the report.
