Russian-led forces mounted five attacks on Ukraine's Joint Forces in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, from 00:00 to 18:00 Kyiv time on Friday, November 16.

"The invaders opened targeted fire from grenade launchers of various systems and small arms to attack the Joint Forces' positions near the town of Maryinka, and the villages of Luhanske and Shyrokyne. The enemy also resorted to 120mm and 82mm mortars near the village of Vilny," the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) headquarters said in an evening update on Facebook on November 16.

The Ukrainian army's units adequately responded to the enemy's fire, having thus prevented JFO casualties.
