Russia's hybrid military forces mounted eight attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas in the past 24 hours, with one Ukrainian soldier reported as wounded in action.

"One Ukrainian soldier was wounded in the past day. According to our intelligence reports, six invaders were killed and another three were wounded," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation said in an update published on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on December 21, 2018.
The Russian occupation forces opened fire from grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns and small arms to attack the defenders of the towns of Maryinka and Krasnohorivka, and the villages of Stanytsia Luhanska, Luhanske, Hnutove, and Lebedynske.
The enemy also employed 82mm mortars, shelling the Ukrainian positions near Luhanske and twice near Hnutove, while 120mm mortars were used near the village of Vodiane.
"Since Friday midnight, Russian-led forces have attacked the Ukrainian positions near the village of Chermalyk," the report said.
