Donbas update: Ukraine reports 1 WIA as invaders violate silence regime
On December 27, Russian occupation forces violated the ceasefire in Donbass eight times, including three times with the use of weapons proscribed by Minsk Agreements, the press service of the Joint Forces Operation reports.
"The enemy shelled JF positions near Krymske (Luhansk direction) and Pisky (Donetsk direction) from 82mm mortars, and from 120mm mortars - in the area of Hnutove (Mariupol direction).
Ukrainian strongpoints were fired upon from grenade launchers of various types, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms in the area of Novozvanivka (Popasna direction), near Avdiyivka and Berezove (Donetsk direction), and in the area of Pyshchevyk and Vodiane (Mariupol direction)," reads the statement.
Over the past day, one JF soldier was wounded in combat.
It is noted that to suppress enemy provocations, the defending units returned fire.
According to intelligence data, on December 27 one invader was killed and two were injured.
There were no casualties among JF troops throughout the day.
Earlier came the reports that from the start of the JFO, 450 militants were killed and nearly 850 wounded in Donbas.
