Units of the Ukrainian Army's separate mechanized brigade defending the area on the approaches to the town of Horlivka have successfully completed equipping defensive positions and organized reliable defense lines at the junction of settlements Zaitseve and Hladosove, coordinator of the Information Resistance OSINT group Dmytro Tymchuk wrote on Facebook.
"Intensive shelling of JF positions, active efforts of subversive groups, and high concentration of the enemy’s armament demanded that the Ukrainian command take immediate steps to improve the defense in this direction. To enhance defense stability, the JF mechanized brigade advanced to a tactically important location within their defense zone and managed to promptly equip the strongpoint under direct enemy fire," wrote the expert.

According to Tymchuk, the fortifications are equipped at the prevailing height, which allows controlling the terrain in the area and preventing the enemy from penetrating defense lines in the direction of Novoluhanske.
Earlier it was reported that Russian occupation forces were completing a set of measures to strengthen their grouping in the area of Horlivka and in the Ozerianivka-Yasynuvata sector.
