Over the past day, Russian proxy forces in Donbas violated the ceasefire five times, while no cases were recorded of them using weapons prohibited by the Minsk accords, the Joint Forces Operation HQ reported Tuesday morning.

A Ukrainian soldier was wounded, the report reads.

"The strongholds of the Ukrainian troops near the village of Stanytsia Luhanska, Vilnyi, Luhanske, Berezove, and Pavlopil were fired upon from grenade launchers of various types, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms," the JFO HQ says.

In response to enemy provocations, units of the Joint Forces returned fire, the report says.

According to intelligence data, on January 7, four militants were killed and two were injured.

"From day-start, the enemy did not open fire. At the same time, despite the deterioration of weather conditions, the Ukrainian military continue to reliably monitor enemy moves on the contact line, while respecting the conditions of a complete ceasefire," says the report.
