Ukrainian army capable of repelling aggressor in Donbas – Joint Forces Commander

Commander of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation (JFO) Serhiy Nayev has said the Ukrainian Armed Forces are fully capable of repelling the aggressor.

"Each unit of the Joint Forces is fully capable of repelling the aggressor and performing military operations," he said in an interview to the parliamentary newspaper Holos Ukrainy, according to the JFO's press center.

According to Nayev, the army regularly conducts drills to maintain combat readiness.

He said the number of exercises at various levels corresponded to the operational needs of the Joint Forces.

"The enemy already knows that every attack does not remain unanswered by the Joint Forces," the commander added.
