Russia's hybrid military forces mounted nine attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas in the past 24 hours, with one Ukrainian soldier reported as killed in action (KIA) and another two as wounded in action (WIA).

"One Ukrainian soldier was killed and another two were wounded in the past day. According to intelligence reports, seven occupiers were killed and another six were wounded," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said in an update on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on February 16, 2019.

Russian occupation forces opened aimed fire from anti-tank missile systems, 120mm and 82mm mortars, a ZU-23-2 towed 23mm anti-aircraft twin-barreled autocannon, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, and small arms to attack the defenders of the towns of Maryinka and Popasna, and the villages of Kamianka, Pavlopil, Novo-Oleksandrivka, Nyzhnie, Zolote-1, Zolote-4, and Khutir Vilniy.

"Since Saturday midnight, Russian-led forces haven't attacked Ukrainian positions yet," the report said.
