Russian proxy forces in Donbas have denied the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) access to certain areas in the occupied Donetsk region.

"At a checkpoint near Kovske (non-government-controlled, 91km south of Donetsk), four members of the armed formations denied the SMM passage, citing 'exercises ongoing in the area,'" the JFO HQ said on Facebook on February 22 citing Ukrainian members of the Joint Control and Coordination Center (JCCC).

As UNIAN reported earlier, Russia's hybrid military forces in the past 24 hours mounted seven attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas, with three Ukrainian soldiers reported as wounded in action.
