2,475 Ukrainian troops withdrawn from Debaltseve by Wednesday evening –Poroshenko
A total of 2,475 Ukrainian troops have already withdrawn from the town of Debaltseve in the east of Ukraine, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said when opening a National Security and Defense Council on Wednesday evening, an UNIAN correspondent reported.
"The total number of the military personnel of the Armed Forces who have withdrawn from Debaltseve as of now is 2,475," Poroshenko said.
Of them, 2,132 are military servicemen, 158 National Guard officers and the remaining are from the Interior Ministry’s troops, according to the president.
"[There are] almost 200 units of military hardware from Debaltseve and the area around Debaltseve," he added.
