Russia's hybrid military forces on Tuesday, February 26, mounted 11 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas, with three Ukrainian soldiers reported as wounded in action; another one was wounded on Wednesday, February 27.
"Three Ukrainian soldiers were wounded yesterday. According to intelligence reports, nine invaders were killed," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said in an update published on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on February 27, 2019.
What is more, Ukrainian troops destroyed one piece of enemy military hardware.
Russian occupation forces opened fire from 120mm and 82mm mortars, weapons installed on infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns, and small arms, attacking the defenders of the town of Popasna, and the villages of Verkhniotoretske, Lebedynske, Novoluhanske, Khutir Vilniy, Malynove, Lobacheve, and Krymske.
"Since Wednesday midnight, Russian-led forces have attacked Ukrainian positions twice, using 120mm mortars and hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher near the village of Vodiane, as well as small arms and sniper weapons near the village of Hnutove," the report said.
