A Ukrainian soldier was wounded in the zone of the Joint Force Operation in Donbas on March 1.
Russian occupation forces fired at the positions of the Ukrainian troops three times, twice using weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements, according to a report released by the JFO HQ on Facebook.
In the zone of responsibility of the Skhid [East] Operational-Tactical Grouping, Russian proxies opened fire near the village of Pisky, using 82mm mortars.
In the Pivnich [North] Operational-Tactical Grouping's responsibility zone, terrorists twice fired at the positions of Ukrainian soldiers – from 120mm mortars near the village of Novoluhanske; from grenade launchers of various types and small arms – in the area of the village of Shumy.
"Units that were fired upon gave the enemy an adequate response. In particular, over one of our positions, Joint Forces troops shot down from small arms an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle, which had been spotting artillery fire," the report says.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrainian troops shot down an Eleon-type unmanned aerial vehicle of the Russian occupation forces.
