Ukrainian soldier wounded in Donbas as Russian proxies mortar JF positions Sunday
Russia's hybrid military forces mounted nine attacks on Ukraine Joint Forces' positions in Donbas in the past 24 hours, with one Ukrainian soldier reported as wounded in action.
"One Ukrainian soldier was wounded in the past day. According to intelligence reports, two invaders were killed and another one was wounded," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation said in an update on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on March 4, 2019.
Also, Ukrainian troops successfully downed an enemy UAV.
Russian occupation forces opened aimed fire from 82mm and 120mm mortars, weapons installed on infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns and small arms to attack the Ukrainian defenders of the town of Popasna, and the villages of Vodiane, Hnutove, Novozvanivka, Novo-Oleksandrivka, Khutir Vilniy, Novoluhanske, Lobacheve, and Krymske.
"Since Monday midnight, Russian-led forces have attacked Ukrainian positions twice near the villages of Lebedynske and Vodiane, using 120mm mortars," the report said.
