Militant commander threatens to kill OSCE mission experts
The OSCE Monitoring Mission reported on Monday that death threats were made to mission members by a commander of militants of the Donetsk People’s Republic organization.
The incident occurred at a checkpoint controlled by militants in the Kyivsky district of Donetsk city on Sunday, February 22, BBC Ukraine reported.
The sounds of shelling and shooting were heard at the checkpoint, to which the mission representatives came. According to the expert conclusions, the sounds came from the airport of Donetsk, "about two kilometers to the north."
"The local commander of the "DNR" at the checkpoint threatened to kill the mission representatives, the report said. On the same day, an SMM Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) attempting to monitor compliance with the Minsk Package in the environs of the Donetsk airport was consistently jammed."
