Russia's hybrid military forces mounted two attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas on March 16, with one Ukrainian soldier reported as killed in action and another one as wounded in action.

"One Ukrainian soldier was killed and another one was wounded from 00:00 to 18:00 Kyiv time. Information on the enemy's losses is being clarified," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said in an update on Facebook.
The enemy opened fire from 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns and small arms at the Ukrainian positions near the village of Khutir Vilniy.
The situation in the area of the Joint Forces Operation remains under control of Ukrainian troops.
