Russia-led forces mounted two attacks on Ukrainian positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, in the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian army's casualties included: one soldier killed, another one was wounded in action.
During the attacks, enemy troops used banned 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms, the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said on Facebook in a morning update on Sunday.
The attacks occurred near the village of Khutir Vilny in the Pivnich (North) sector.
Ukrainian soldiers fired back, using available weapons. Enemy casualties are being clarified.
"The situation in the JFO zone is under Ukrainian defenders' control," the press center said.
