In the past 24 hours, Russia's hybrid military forces mounted seven attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, with one Ukrainian soldier reported as killed in action and another two as wounded in action.
"A Ukrainian soldier was killed and another two were wounded in the shelling. Joint Forces delivered a proper response to all enemy attacks, having eliminated three invaders and wounded another six," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said in an update on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on March 22, 2019.
Russian occupation forces opened aimed fire from 82mm and 120mm mortars, weapons installed on infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns, and small arms to attack Ukrainian defenders of the town of Avdiyivka, and the villages of Shyrokyne, Khutir Vilniy, Zolote-4, Pivdenne, Krymske, and Stanytsia Luhanska.
"Since Friday midnight, Russian-led forces have attacked Ukrainian positions near the village of Zolote-1, using hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms," reads the report.
