In the past 24 hours, Russia's hybrid military forces mounted 14 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, with two Ukrainian soldier reported as killed in action and another two as wounded in action.
"Two Ukrainian soldiers were killed and another two were wounded in the shelling. Joint Forces delivered a proper response to all enemy attacks, having eliminated three invaders and wounded another eight," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation said in an update on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on April 3, 2019.
Russian occupation forces opened aimed fire from 152mm artillery systems, 82mm and 120mm mortars, grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns, and small arms to attack Ukrainian defenders of the towns of Avdiyivka and Popasna, and the villages of Shyrokyne, Hnutove, Vodiane, Novozvanivka, and Katerynivka.
According to intelligence reports, three enemy troops were killed in action and another eight were wounded.
"Since Wednesday midnight, Russian-led forces haven't attacked Ukrainian positions yet," the report said.
