Russia's hybrid military forces in the past 24 hours mounted 14 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas, with two Ukrainian soldiers reported as killed in action.
"Two Ukrainian soldiers were killed in the past day. According to intelligence reports, three invaders were killed and another one was wounded," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation said in an update published on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on April 7, 2019.
Russian occupation forces opened fire from 120mm and 82mm mortars, weapons installed on infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns, and small arms, attacking the defenders of the towns of Avdiyivka and Krasnohorivka, and the villages of Pavlopil, Pisky, Shyrokyne, Opytne, Starohnativka, Chermalyk, Zaitseve, Zolote-4, and Khutir Vilniy.
"Since Sunday midnight, Russian-led forces have attacked Ukrainian positions near Shyrokyne, using grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns, and small arms. There have been no casualties among the Ukrainian military," reads the report.
