Russia-led forces mounted 12 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, in the past 24 hours.
"No Ukrainian army casualties were reported in the past day. According to intelligence reports, six invaders were killed and another three were wounded in action," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said in an update on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on April 16, 2019.

During the period under review, Russian occupation forces opened fire from 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns, and small arms to attack the Ukrainian positions near the town of Avdiyivka, and the villages of Novoselivka Druha, Lebedynske, Opytne, Vodiane, Nevelske, and Stanytsia Luhanska.
"Since Tuesday midnight, Russian-led forces haven't attacked Ukrainian positions yet," the report said.
