The Ukrainian military repelled the attack by an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group in Donbas on April 15.

"At 20:00 on April 15, the enemy began a massive shelling of our positions in the Mariupol sector. Under the cover of fire, the enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group began its advance, which was intended to destroy the observation posts and penetrate the rear of the Ukrainian troops," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation wrote on Facebook.

At 20:39 Kyiv time, our personnel at observation posts spotted the advance of the enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group consisting of 12 people.

"The enemy advance was stopped with fire from small arms. A skirmish broke out. Observation posts were supported by fire from platoon fortified positions. The enemy began its retreat, having lost two soldiers killed and two wounded," the report said.

The unit, which performs its tasks at observation posts, seized the weapons of the saboteurs and a map with objects marked for acts of sabotage.
