Lysenko: Militants mine 250 ha of Donetsk region
Militants have laid mines and other explosives on a total of 250 hectares of Donetsk region, National Security and Defense Council spokesman Andriy Lysenko said on Ukrainian television’s Channel 5 on Tuesday, according to Ukrainian online news service Lb.ua.
"Sowing should take place soon, but 250 hectares of Donetsk region have [already been] planted with mines, grenades and other munitions,” Lysenko said.
“That means that the leaders who came there, as directed by the Kremlin, are not going to restore the region.
"The Donetsk and Luhansk militants are completely destroying the regions. They haven’t even built a single barn.
"That means that the militants came there temporarily - either to intimidate Ukraine or destroy it."
