One Ukrainian soldier has been wounded in action on Tuesday, May 7, as Russia's hybrid military forces have already mounted four attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine.

"One member of the Joint Forces has been injured as a result of shelling. Each enemy attack has been given an adequate response. Information on the enemy's losses is being verified," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation said in an update published on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on May 7, 2019.

Since Tuesday midnight, Russia-led forces have attacked Ukrainian positions near the town of Avdiyivka, and the villages of Hnutove and Bohdanivka, using 120mm mortars, automatic grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, and small arms.

Twelve enemy attacks were reported on Monday, May 6. Ukrainian intelligence reports say five enemy troops were killed on that day.

Russian occupation forces opened fire from 120mm mortars, weapons installed on infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns, and small arms. Under attack were Ukrainian positions near the town of Maryinka, as well as near the villages of Troyitske, Talakivka, Pavlopil, Lebedynske, Hranitne, and Novozvanivka.
